WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to MK Dons.

Key PlayerIzale McLeod. A seemingly obvious suggestion. - McLeod has netted 33 goals in 72 league starts for the Dons since his move in the summer of 2004. The Dons have managed to hold onto him despite intense speculation over a move out of the club. Martin Allen now seems to have secured his services for this season and if he can score goals then the MK Dons will be in business.
StrengthsThe Dons have a talented pool of strikers. - Clive Platt, Izale McLeod, Aaron Wilbraham and Scott Taylor - surely the strongest group of strikers at one club in the division. Furthermore, the acquisition of Martin Allen as manager may well turn out to be the buy of the summer.
WeaknessesThe MK Dons are on a slide. Under their new name, they have never tasted any sort of success. To try and halt this will be a massive task. Also, many expect the Dons to challenge for promotion - will Allen's young side be able to cope with the burden of expectation?
Prediction1st. Fancied for success by many, and I predict correctly so. Martin Allen's move to the National Hockey Stadium raised a few eyebrows, but by the end of the season he could well be smiling.

Next Team: Notts County
