New Price Structure Announced

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 27/05/2016

TOWN fans will face a modest price increase when the Mariners will compete in League Two next season. Prices have been frozen for the six years that the Mariners were in the Conference. Now match tickets will increase by ?2 across the board - that applies to Early Bird tickets and matchday tickets.

Although it will now cost ?18 with an Early Bird ticket, or ?20 on the day, prices at Blundell Park will be some of the cheapest in League Two.

Season Ticket holders have had to shoulder less of a price increase. Prices have risen by just ?20 for Early Bird season ticket holders, which is a rise of less than one pound per game. Adult season tickets start from ?305, with a range of steep discounts for Under 21s and Over 65s.

Early Bird season tickets must be bought by July 23rd and demand is likely to be high, with the new pricing structure making the cost of a ticket to all 23 home games even more attractive. Season ticket holders also get the first opportunity to buy away tickets, and there are usually a few games a season where demand exceeds supply at away grounds.

The club also benefit from season ticket sales at a time of year when they have no other income and are looking to sign new players.

The first old "new" player is Captain Craig Disley. The midfielder has signed a new one year deal at Blundell Park. Disley, now 34, is nearing the end of his career but was still an integral part of the Grimsby side last season and played in 48 of the 61 Grimsby games.
