Beat the Bookies: Week 11

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 19/10/2012

ANOTHER good week last week saw Wycombe beat Fleetwood away to record another long odds winner for us. Sutton almost drew but a late penalty for them lost our bet. Telford v Grimsby could easily have been a draw, but Town hung on - a bet we are happy to lose.

Home > 2012-2013 Season > Beat the Bookies > Week 11

Championship

  • Brighton v Middlesbrough - away win (5.6, Marathon). Boro have won the last three games away and Brighton have not won for four games, so this bet looks a "no brainer" for value.

    League Two

  • Fleetwood Town v AFC Wimbledon - away win (6.5, Boyle Sports). Fleetwood definitely seem to be experiencing a blip in recent games, whereas AFC Wimbledon are buoyed by a new manager, often a short-term boost.

    FA Cup

  • Forest Green v Dartford - away win. (5.0 888 Sport). Dartford have had a couple of iffy results, but reports suggests they haven't played that badly. They have shown they can win away at the top clubs as they did at Grimsby. Forest Green seem to have hit a mini sticky patch of their own as well.
  • Grimsby v Kidderminster - draw (3.6, William Hill). Both teams have been partial to draws this season, and they have already drawn in the league, so expect more of the same.
  • Woking v Ebbsfleet - away win (4.2 ComeOn). Woking lost to Southport at home last week with a poor defensive display. The Cards also have a key player suspended due to a late sending off in that game.
