Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby finish?

Beat the Bookies: Week 10

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 12/10/2012

LAST weekend was the most profitable of the season yet. Four winners out of seven ensured a healthy haul of over £100 and puts us well in profit for the season so far. The best winner was Charlton at Blackpool, but had Pompey held on to a two goal lead at MK Dons it would have been even better!

Home > 2012-2013 Season > Beat the Bookies > Week 10

Town did well to win at Alfreton, and on another day it could easily have been a draw. That result means Grimsby are favourites to repeat the 3 point half at Telford. Telford don't often lose and tend to draw, a bit like Town, so that's where the value lies this week.

League One

  • Bournemouth v Leyton Orient - away win (4.31, Pinnacle). Bournemouth have lost 4 games on the spin, and got just 2 points from six. Over the same period Orient have picked up 10 points.

    League Two

  • Fleetwood Town v Wycombe - away win (5.82, Pinnacle). Wycombe have given themselves hope with two good wins on the spin and 3 unbeaten, not least of which was a shock cup win at Pompey. Fleetwood have shown they are vulnerable at home - Port Vale won 5-2 there recently.

    Blue Square Premier

  • Gateshead v Cambridge Utd - away win. (3.44 Pinnacle). Gateshead's form has nosedived after a decent start to the season and they could struggle again in this televised game. Cambridge by all accounts didn't play that badly in the midweek game with Woking, and before that had two good wins.
  • Telford Utd vs Grimsby Town - draw. (3.52 Pinnacle). Grimsby's default result away from home seems to be a draw (5 out of 7), and Telford are much the same at home (3 out of 7). Both teams would probably be happy with a draw at the start as well.

    Blue Square South

  • Eastbourne Borough v Sutton Utd - draw (3.6, Bet 365). Sutton are always good for a draw! Last week they threw away a two goal lead - to pick us up another winner.
