GRIMSBY Town supporter and former deputy chief executive of Young's Bluecrest Mike Parker has joined the GTFC board as a new director, making the total number on the board now four.

Mr Parker has pledged to commit both time and money to help the cause, telling the Grimsby Telegraph: "The club is clearly in some difficulties at the moment, it needs a lift, and I hope I can bring that, working with the other directors. We have seen the accounts of the club, and it really has been supported by loans by directors, and I will partake in these loans and look to take some shares as well. That is part of it, but so, too, is the time commitment."

  • Towm have rearranged their match with Macclesfield to Saturday 28th November. It had been arranged for the following Tuesday but has been moved forward after both clubs were knocked out of the FA Cup.

  • Danny North and Peter Bore are no longer available on loan. Caretaker boss Neil Woods has vowed to get the best out of the pair in his remaining games in charge. "I know what they can do – they just need to be more consistent," said Woods. Former Town boss Mike Newell and chairman John Fenty had expressed a desire to see both players have a loan spell away from Blundell Park.
