Town Start with a Win

A LATE free kick by midfielder Jamie Clarke saw off the challenge of Belgian part-timers RFCC Montegnee in Town's opening pre-season game at Barnstable.
The Belgian side shaded the first half, with new 'keeper Nick Colgan having to pull out a couple of saves to keep the Mariners in the game.
Mike Newell changed the entire outfield after the break, but chances were at a preimum, until Clarke stepped up late on to curl in a free kick from the edge of the area.
