Grimsby Town 2 Accrington Stanley 0

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 25/11/2006

TOWN won their first home game for Alan Buckley today with a 2-0 score line against Accrington Stanley. Loan player Paterson scoring the first and Gary Jones the second.

This was a good result for Town with 4,511 fans in attendance. A great result for the fans with everyone hoping Buckley can still work his magic for Town.

On today's showing with the style of play and the scoreline, his presence seems to be working. But one has to remember that Accrington have not won for seven goals and tougher opposition awaits us.

Even so, it is a victory to celebrate and it leaves us wanting more.

It would be good to see larger attendances and that goes together with our success rate.

A match report will follow soon.
