Thorpe Joins on Loan

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 26/09/2006

VETERAN striker Tony Thorpe has signed on loan from Stevenage Borough of the Conference. The 32-year-old former Luton striker started five games for Colchester in League One last season, but has had limited chances at Stevenage this year.

Thorpe once cost over a million pounds, paid by Bristol City when they signed the Leicester-born striker from Fulham.

Thorpe goes straight into the squad for tonight's game against Hartlepool at Blundell Park.
