TOWN'S game with Northampton at Blundell Park on 8th January has been called off due to the Cobbler's involvement in the FA Cup that day. A future date has yet to be set for the match.

  • Meanwhile two trialists have arrived at Blundell Park, treading the path followed by many other in a hope of catching Town manager Russell Slade's eye. The first is Ville Vaisanen (top), a Finnish striker from Norweigian side Bryne FK, who played last season for obscure Swedish outfit Ljungkile. A second trialist Tope Atrojogun is also coming to Blundell Park.

  • Russell Slade attended Hull's game with Macclesfield on Saturday, with a view to checking out City pair Danny Allsopp and Jonathan Walters. Slade would like to bring one of the strikers to Blundell Park on loan, the Town boss told Radio Humberside. With neither of the players commanding a regular first team place at the KC, the short journey across the Humber Bridge could benefit all parties.
