Groves Takes Two Midfield Players On Loan

THE news that Paul Groves has signed two new players on loan brings some cheer today for the fans after the disappointing news about the Oster non-event.

Paul Groves has once again risen to the challenge and has managed to secure the services of two players with good pedigrees despite the hectic competition from clubs trying to beat the transfer deadline.

Cardiff City midfielder Des Hamilton has joined the Mariners on loan until the end of the season.

Des joined Cardiff City from Newcastle United on a free transfer. He started his career with Bradford City in 1994 and later joined Newcastle United. Described as a talented midfielder and strong tackler he is looking to show his talents after coming back from a series of injuries.

Michael Keane has also been signed on loan until the end of the season from Preston North End.

Michael has made 28 appearances for Preston scoring two goals He has represented the Republic of Ireland Uner-21 squad in the European Championships in Switzerland.

He is noted for his pace and is described as a thinking player with good positional sense and a good distributor of the ball.
