Injury List 15/01

By: Peter Forrester
Date: 15/01/2001

One of the Electonic Fishcake's new recurits, Peter Forrester, launches the start of a new feature on this site - The Injury List. Peter will bring you the latest news on the players missing from the first team squad on a weekly basis.

Jonathan Rowan: The rookie striker is now back in full training after suffering from a niggling groin problem.

Bradley Allen: "Brads" has been attending Lilleshall to rehabiliate, but is still a good month away before he can enter the first team frame again, after hopefully avoiding the need for major surgery.

Matthew Bloomer: The young defender picked up a foot injury in the 3-1 reserve win over Shrewsbury. Bloomer is still training, but only to see if he is fit enough to continue.

Alan Pouton: The former York midfielder is expected to be back in the first team squad soon following knee surgery. The fans favourite is keen to get back and show the opposition that he is still as tough tackling as ever before.

John McDermott: Town's veteran right back, holder of the all time apperance record for the Mariners, pulled a calf in training last week but is back in ball training. "Macca" will soon be pushing for a place in the team again.

Kingsley Black: The ex-Northern Ireland leftside midfielder is due back after recovering sufficiently from a foot injury to start training again
