GRIMSBY have parted company with George McEachran, who leaves the club after his contract came to an end and they couldn't agree terms. Svanþórsson, Soonsup-Bell, Warren and Gilsenan have also been released.
An offer has been made to Evan Khouri, and 'keeper Seb Auton's contract has been extended by 1 year. Youth players, Alex Graham and Elliot Smith, have been offered professional contracts.
Jackson Smith, Andy Cook, Clarke Oduor and Tyrell Sellars-Fleming were all on loan and have returned to their parent clubs.
Christy Pym and Sam Lavelle are under contract but have been made available for transfer to other clubs.
That leaves a "core" first team of Gardner, McJannet, Vernam, Burns, Tharme, Turi, Rodgers, Brown, Walker, Sweeney, Kabia, Amaluzor, Green, Kacurri and Staunton. Possibly Khouri.
The squad will need extending with obvious gaps for the departing players of a first-choice goalkeeper, a full back, a central midfielder, and two strikers. 'Keeper Jackson Smith and striker Andy Cook are the most obvious loan players that Town may be looking to acquire in some form, especially Smith.
