Shearer Sinks Mariners!

RUSSELL Slade and all Town fans should be proud of their team tonight after holding off Newcastle for so long before Shearer scored the winning goal in the 80th minute.
It was a fast game with Newcastle having the greater possession but Town drove them back often and had 4 really good chances to score.
Mr Whittle and Mr Shearer played a close combatant game with Shearer carrying the scars and stitches, which Mr George Kerr in the commentary box seemed to enjoy.
A magnificent performance by the Mariners and there was no shame losing to a better team. On paper that is.
