Jordan Maguire-Drew Signs

GRIMSBY have signed former Woking forward Jordan Maguire-Drew on a free transfer after he was released by the Cards. The 24-year-old, who usually plays as a winger, has penned an 18-month contract.

Maguire-Drew was with Woking last season having moved to Kingfield in the summer but his opportunities had been restricted by injury, playing only seven games. Prior to that, he was with Orient in the National League, where he helped the O's win the division. Woking released him and Town have taken the Crawley-born attacker to Blundell Park. He is eligible for the Dagenham game at the weekend, a former club of his.

Meanwhile, Grimsby have drawn Stockport away in the third round of the FA Trophy, the level at which the National League Prem clubs enter. It is one of the toughest draws the Mariners could have received, although they had a good record in the competition during Paul Hurst's first spell at the club.
