All Hope is Gone

By: Richard Warman
Date: 09/04/2021

That glimmer of hope we had when we arrived back in the football league has long gone, evaporated. The road to what we have become is almost as comical as the John Fenty stadium tour.

As funny as Alan Partridge is, you wouldn't want him being your own dad, would you? It is like the video funny if it was coming from another club, as the chief custodian pats awkward-looking employees on the head.

If we were doing well this could be tolerated, maybe even laughed at. But unfortunately, things have gone too far now, almost to the point that the club may well be too far gone.

The thing is I don't even hate John Fenty, I don't know the guy, all I know is what he has done to OUR club - twenty years of hurt, VHS is the only way to watch us when we were decent, how sad is that?

There is no abuse or animosity from me just a great big lack of trust and how can you buy into someone who you can't even trust? It's not even personal trust, just trust over what he will do to our club, that scares me it really does.

When Mr Shut Up had a go at a loyal fan he could have stepped in/up instead he went on to tell Matt Dean that he could "take some like he has over the years". Brilliant.

I had forgotten about Extreme Leisure, again another busted flush, when asked by David Burns how they would fund the project John's reply, was something along the lines of "because they will". Does not fill you with confidence does it?!

I don't want to lose this club, I don't want to support some team with who I have no identity. I won't it's Town or no one for me and I know many feel the same. But the way things have turned toxic has somehow turned fans toxic towards not just Fenty but other things Town and that's one of the reasons he needs to go.

Whether he can swallow the bitter pill of stepping away, the future will tell. If he stays the fans will go, if he goes they will return; I am sure of it.

The mistakes I can tolerate but his vision of not being able to see them I do not. We need new blood, to give fresh impetus to the lifeblood of this club and we need it now - we are on life support and with one more wrong move it becomes terminal.

I say to you No More John Fenty No More. Good luck with the rest of your innings in life but please do not let it be overseeing our great club.
