Spencer Latest to to Leave

STRIKER Damian Spencer is to leave Blundell Park after his contract has been cancelled "by mutual consent". He joins Rob Eagle, another recent departure, Daren Kempson and Lee Ridely - all of whom have been taken off the wage bill in recent weeks.
Spencer rarely played for Town due mainly to injury, but the form of Grimsby's other front players has left the former Cheltenham front man well down the pecking order.
With loanees Will Antwi and Manny Panther not looking like they are likely to return, Grimsby have the opportunity to bring in a fresh face or two for the rest of the season. The Mariners have of course already signed former Darlo captain Ian Miller to boost their squad for the second half of the season.
