WITH the new season almost upon us, it's time to cast an eye upon the teams in League Two for 2006-2007. Richard Hubbert turns his attention to Torquay.

Key PlayerMicky Evans. After the departures of Kuffour and Bedeau, responsibility for scoring goals will fall on the head of Lee Thorpe and also, Micky Evans. Evans has made the trip along the south coast from Plymouth, where he enjoyed two separate spells that yielded over 80 goals.
StrengthsTorquay are on a roll after they completed a great escape to avoid the drop at the end of last season. 4 consecutive wins and a draw on the last day with Boston secured their league survival when they looked dead and buried. If Ian Atkins can carry the momentum into this season, Torquay could have a good year.
WeaknessesIf Atkins plays with his favoured 3-5-2 formation like he did at Bristol Rovers and it doesn't work, the Gulls will be back to square one. Also, beyond Evans and Thorpe, it is hard to see where goals may come from.
Prediction12th. A steady, solid season for the Gulls is on the cards. A promotion charge may be too much for them though.

Next Team: Walsall
