Jackie Bestall

Jackie was a legend with the Town fans, he had a lounge at Blundell Park named after him. Signed in 1926 from Rotherham, Bestall went on to get one cap for England. Jackie played 427 league games for Town, only ever beaten by Keith Jobling and latterly John McDermott.

When he retired he had numerous jobs in football and died in April 1985 aged 84, and has the smallest road in Grimsby and Cleethorpes named after him, the only Town footballer to be honoured in this way.
