Aidan Davison When Aidan Davison signed for Town in the summer of 1997, it brought a breath of fresh air into the Town team. After the previous seasons goalkeeping catastrophes with the 'rocky' Jason Pearcey, all Town wanted was a solid, decent keeper. They got this, and more.

In his first season, Davison and his defence kept a record 35 clean sheets in 66 games (all competitions). The next season, in the first division, Davison kept 17 in 40 league and cup games, but the last quarter of the season was halted by contract disagreements, when he reportedly asked for a pay rise.

Davison was expecting a move to a big club, but this never happened and he ended up in Sheffield United's reserve team and the next season in Bradford's reserves, and probably regrets his decision to ever disagree with Alan Buckley to this day.

Next Player: Kevin Jobling
