Allen To Return?

Good news for the Mariners with striker Bradley Allen looking to return to first team action before the end of the season and hoping to play his way back into contention for Saturday's visit to Birmingham after a run out in the reserves at home to Wrexham on Wednesday.
Allen was thought to be unable to play for the rest of this season having been troubled by long term ankle trouble with his last game being against his old club QPR five weeks ago.
It looks now that he has recovered sufficiently to take a part in the last two games if he can prove his match fitness.
"I hope to play in the reserves and it would be great to play, or be involved, in the first team for some part of the final two games. "It's been a pretty rough season for me with injuries and at least I might be able to wrap things up on a high."
This may be good news for manager Lennie Lawrence as players are now feeling the strain towards the end of the season and Allen would be a welcome return to the squad.
