Town Announce Pre-Season Friendly Fixtures
By: Bill Osborne
Date: 12/05/2007
TOWN have announced the pre-season friendly games with battles against our local rivals Hull City and Scunthorpe United to be played at Blundell Park plus an away game at Lincoln City in the Lincolnshire Cup.
Alan Buckley has done well to bring in Hull City and Scunthorpe and they are prime fixtures on the pre season list.
It is good to see that the traditional game against Brigg Town is also on the books as this fixture is a tremendous seasonal bonus for them financially and Town are also doing the same for Grantham Town and Farsley Celtic who are also on the fixture list. Pre-season fixtures are a chance for Town to assist other local clubs and it is pleasing to see Alan Buckley continuing that tradition.
The full pre-season fixture list is:
| Fri 13th July | 19:30 | Away | Brigg Town |
| Weds 18th July | 19:30 | Away | Grantham Town |
| Sat 21st July | 15:00 | Away | Farsley Celtic |
| Tues 24th July | TBA | Home | Hull City |
| Sat Aug 4th | 15:00 | Home | Scunthorpe Utd |

This site is by the fans, for the fans, and we will consider articles on any subject relating to the Mariners whether it be related to current news, a nostalgic look back in the past, a story about a player, a game or games in the past, something about Blundell Park or football in general.
