Colin Cramb
Squad Number:	29

Weight:	11.13
Date of birth:	23/06/1974
Place of birth:	Lanark
Position:	Forward
Nationality:	Scottish
Transfer Fee:	Free
Signed:	27/09/2004
Under Contract:	Non-contract

Previous Clubs:	Shrewsbury Bury (l) Notts Co (l) Crewe Walsall Bristol City Doncaster Hearts Falkirk Hamilton
League Two Class:	Got the experience in higher divisions than ours
Fishy Verdict:	Negotioated his way out of Shrewsbury to come and join the Mariners on a non-contract basis.
Quote:	Crewereality: "Fellas, you have signed a legend. Get him motivated and he will do the business for you. He has done it for us at a much higher level than you are currently playing at and if your manager deals with him in the right way he will be a winner for you. "Cramb is a one-off with fantastic ability, but has rapidly become something of a 'Gazza' of the lower divisions. He could have made so much more of his career, but booze, gambling and birds have been his downfall. "He scored some fantastic goals for Crewe and single handedly turned games for us. On the other hand there were times when he was lazy and threw a strop when subbed. "He's a difficult character, but he's getting near the end of his career and maybe he'll settle down because of it. Either way, he'll probably become a cult figure at Grimsby if he stays for any length of time...... "I still have his actual Alex shirt taking pride of place at home, I promise you it wont be dull with him around....."
