Town Start at BP against Crawley

TOWN kick off the new season at home to newly relegated Crawley Town. They then face Harrogate in the first away game, where tickets will be hard to come by with the small capacity. Grimsby return to Blundell Park to play relegation favourites Newport, before the first midweek game at last season's play-off runner up Walsall.

Grimsby avoid the early favourites in their first few games. Town have two home games at the end of December, but fans will have to travel to Crawley on Easter Monday for the reverse fixture in Sussex.

MK Dons and Chesterfield are the two teams to watch out for, according to the bookies, but Town will be hoping to improve on their best finish of 9th at this level under the new owners, and fans will be hoping for a play-off spot at least.

Update: The Mariners will face Shrewsbury at home in Round 1 of the Carabao Cup.
