Three More Sign

TOWN have been busy signing three more players, as the squad for this season takes shape. Town's line-up is becoming more international with players from Spain, Tunisia and Sweden joining the British and Irish contingent.

20-year-old Spanish striker Alhagi Touray Sisay has signed a one-year contract from Welsh side Aberystwyth Town.

Another Wales link is 24-year-old midfielder George Williams (2-year deal) and 22-year-old former Notts County forward Montel Gibson (3 years).

Williams most recently played for Forest Green Rovers and Gibson last played for Halesowen Town, scoring 31 times in 46 appearances.

Ian Holloway has mainly chosen players from lower league clubs on their way up in the game. The Town boss has made his name for developing talent and getting the most out of players, so that seems a formula which plays to his core strengths.

  • Macclesfield have been relegated from the English Football League after an appeal against a points deduction failed. It means Stevenage get a reprieve and will join Barrow and Harrogate in the league next season.
