Pre-Season Update

GRIMSBY have made a good start to their pre-season with comfortable wins over local sides Cleethorpes and Grantham. The Mariners beat their Cleethorpes counterparts 8-0 at the weekend with Matt Green, James Hanson(3), Max Wright(3) and Ahkeem Rose all weighing in with goals.
Town then beat Grantham 3-1 in a more challenging game with goals from James Hanson, Mattie Pollock and Ahkeem Rose. The Mariners' next outing is at Boston on Thursday night (19:30). There are two games at Blundell Park this season: Doncaster on 20th and Peterborough on 27th.
Grimsby have been drawn against Scunthorpe and Sunderland in the controversial EFL Trophy. The final team in the group will be drawn later this week from a pool of academy sides.
