Grimsby v Wrexham Team News

GRIMSBY take on Wrexham tonight in the top of the table clash against the side that many fans see as the main challengers for the one automatic promotion position. It is the first of four massive games at Christmas for the Mariners over in-form rivals.
After Wrexham, Town take on neighbours Lincoln City in the Bank Holiday double header and, sandwiched between the clashes with the Imps, Grimsby head to Mansfield.
A bumper haul of points could see Town start the New Year in a commanding position. Likewise if Grimsby fail to win most of the games, they could fall behind in the race for poll position.
Much could depend on the club's ability to hang on to their loan players. Ross Hannah and Scott Neilson will play their final game of their loan spell for the Mariners against Wrexham tonight, but the club are endeavouring to try and make both deals permanent. Striker Hannah is due to return to Bradford following tonight's game with Wrexham, while winger Neilson will head back to Crawley
In other team news Joe Colbeck is suspended after his sending off against Havant, making a start for Neilson very likely on the right wing for what could be his final appearance in a Town shirt, Ross Hannah was rested for Havant but looks certain to start up front.
Aswad Thomas has shrugged off an achilles injury and looks likely to return at left back, while midfielder Frankie Artus is back in training and could make the bench.
Wrexham, who were held by Town for a draw in Wales early in the season, have been struggling with injuries recently, although you wouldn't know it from the recent results of the Red Dragons.
Four players are available again after recovering from injuries, which gives manager Andy Morrell a few selection decisions. Defenders Chris Westwood and Martin Riley, top-scorer Danny Wright and midfielder Glen Little have all emerged from the treatment room, but Wales U-21 striker Robert Ogleby (concussion) is unavailable.
