Louis Soares to Blundell Park

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 31/01/2012

BARBADOS international midfielder Louie Soares has joined the Mariners until the end of the season. The 27-year-old joins from Hayes & Yeading, but has played in the Football League for Southend and began his career at his home town side of Reading.

Soares, whose brother plays in the Premier League for Stoke, has also played for Bristol Rovers, Barnet and Aldershot Town. Soares was rumoured to be a target for other BSP sides but he elected to move up North (for the first time in his career) instead and join Grimsby.

Town may well do some more business on transfer deadline day. Watch this space.
