Goalkeeper who played about 6 games for Reading before being spotted at a young age by Leeds United who were happy to just give money away at that time and bought him for £200,000.
In fact, Allaway was a massive prospect and an England under 17 regular at one point but when he joined Town on loan, it was clear he had not fulfilled his potential. Spent a considerable part of the 2002/3 season on the bench, hoping for an injury to Danny Coyne which never came.
A very short time after that, Allaway ended up in non-league obscurity.
