Question of the Week

Where will Grimsby finish?

Who Broke A Mirror?

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 21/08/2003

WHAT Grimsby Town need right now is a truck load of luck. The silver haired lady has not been smiling on Town since the new season began and today the bad luck continues with the news that Stuart Campbell's goal at Doncaster Rovers has been awarded as an own goal by match referee Carl Boyeson.

It was Mr Boyeson who also sent off Des Hamilton and right back Marcel Cas in the same game and Des Hamilton, Marcel Cas and Iain Anderson will all miss the trip to Bristol City on 30th August. Hamilton and Anderson both have a three-match ban ruling them out of the Peterborough (September 6) and Hartlepool (September 12) games.

Hamilton for violent conduct at Doncaster and Anderson for an alleged elbow in the Port Vale game.

On top of that, Groves also has an injury problem with three of his 'stars' Coldicott, Pouton and MacDermott on long term sick leave with Macca looking to rejoin the squad in two weeks time.

If ever there was a time that we needed a bit of luck, there can be no better time than now!

I might send them my rabbits foot if I can catch my rabbit! What is your good luck charm? Answers on the message board. Free ticket in the Pontoon for the best one!
