AFTER a disappointing home defeat to Millwall last week, the Mariners will be hoping to bounce back to form with a win on Saturday. However, Saturday's game does not come much bigger than close rivals Bradford City, who themselves are near the foot of the table.

The Bottom Line

Unless the Mariners intend to avoid relegation by having to put another run of form together like the end of last season, Town must win as many home games as possible. A positive result is needed yet again on Saturday. A win would drag Bradford right into the relegation mire, a loss would see the Bantams almost safe.

The Opposition - Any Good?

Despite Bradford's awful financial problems and their long list of injured players they still have some extremely useful players in their lineup. Ex-Mariner Aidan Davison (left) will play between the sticks and in front of him will be the experienced Wayne Jacobs and Peter Atherton. Up front they have ex-Leeds and Forest forward Andy Gray who is the club's top scorer with ten goals, netting again at the weekend in Bradford's narrow 3-2 loss against Rotherham.

Arguably one of the Mariners best players this season, Campbell has played right across the midfield this term, with his versatility being invaluable in such a small squad as Town's. Campbell's two goals at Wimbledon two weeks ago makes him Town's top scorer at the club with Kabba and Oster now elsewhere. How he performs on Saturday will be vitally important to the Town cause.	When bursting onto the football scene at Leeds United, there were high hopes for Andy Gray. However, his career has faltered in recent years, but it seems a free transfer move to Valley Parade has done him a world of good. Apart from Leeds, the midfielder come attacker, has had loan spells at Preston, Bury and Oldham but his ten goals this season have really caught the eye of many admirers and will be a test for the Town defence.

Just for a change, the Mariners have huge injury problems! George Santos, Alan Pouton, Stacy Coldicott and Paul Raven are all out, while many other players are carrying injuries.

Terry Cooke was told to rest for a whole week on Tuesday by the doctor's, after suffering concussion, but will play regardless plainly because the Mariners have nobody else to play in midfield.

This means that unless any loan signings are made before Friday's 5pm deadline the Mariners will play the same side that started against Millwall. The only change that could be seen is the tiring Steve Livingstone making way for Darren Mansaram to partner Michael Boulding up front.

The Bantams have been hit with the news that left sided player Louis Emmanuel will be out for three weeks, meaning that Paul Reid will replace him in midfield.

Ashley Ward should continue up front after returning to the side at Millmoor last weekend. Danny Cadamateri played for the reserves in midweek and might make the bench but will certainly not start the game.

The fit again Garry Walsh will sit on the bench due to the impressive form of former Mariners' keeper Aidan Davison, however, Bradford boss Nicky Law has warned Davison that Walsh is desperate to reclaim his Number one spot and will keep Davison "on his toes" in the coming months.

Despite Jamie lawrence's expected exit from the club, he will continue in midfield.

Elsewhere, the Bantams are expected to be unchanged.
