We Are Stronger All Round - Galli

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 19/03/2002

"WE'RE stronger all over " said Tony Gallimore to Mariners Net. The Official Website caught up with him today and talked about the confidence in the team. "It wasn't just the result, it was the performance as well, and that gives us confidence for the three away games that we've got." He said.

"I think Wimbledon have lost two in 15, and they'll be trying to sneak in the back door of the play-offs. We can't think about anybody else, it's just about us getting points on Saturday."

"Wimbledon no longer play the style of football that made them famous in the eighties. They're a very different side now to when they were the Crazy Gang. They have a similar style to teams such as Forest - they're not the Wimbledon of old."

"We're stronger all over. We get good protection from the midfield. All over we look fit, strong and full of confidence." He went on, "We're creating chances now. Michael Boulding's getting himself in some good positions and like wise with Bradley. They've both got different attributes but on the whole as a team I think we look more solid and a lot better going forward."

"Andy Todd's popped in with three, he's one of the top goalscorers," said Tony. "Goalscoring has to come from everybody. It's like defence - it doesn't just come from defenders, it comes from all over the pitch as well."

"Three more victories will definitely do it," says Tony, "I think no-one's gone down on 50 points, and that would give us 51. But there's still a long way to go."
