Despite the odds stacked against them the Mariners worked hard today against better opposition who always looked like scoring. In the end sloppy defending cost them dearly.
Grimsby Town 2 Millwall 2
Against the run of the play in the second half Town grabbed a goal through Rowan.
Millwall equalised but in the last few minutes of the game Grimsby grabbed what should have been the winning goal when boulding scored.
In the last minute of injury time, Millwall snatched that winner from Town's hands due to appalling defending.
The final result was a draw but in truth it was a loss to Town who had overturned the form book to hand it over on a plate.
